Filtered Mode

We’d be better explaining this function with an example. Imagine you have a category (CORNER KICKS) and a couple of descriptors (2nd HALF and XAVI). What data can be shown from these?

a) CORNER KICKS made in the 2nd HALF and CORNER KICKS made by XAVI. One chart with two columns ("cat A + des A” vs “cat A + des B”).

b) All CORNER KICKS made in the 2nd HALF by XAVI. One chart with one column(“cat A + des A + des B”).

Filtered mode is not ticked by default. This is the (a) option, one chart with two columns. If you select the Filtered mode, then you will see the (b) option with those descriptors together inside one column.

This option can only be made with bar/column charts. Pie charts can use one category and multiple descriptors, then use the filter option to compare the descriptors against another group of descriptors.

Behave as Sum

This feature can be understood using the previous example. It is only available for data labels.

By default this option is not selected. With the CORNER KICKS category then 2nd HALF and XAVI descriptors selected, the result will show the number of CORNER KICKS registers where 2nd HALF and XAVI appeared together within the register.

What you will see for this example is: The number of CORNER KICKS in the 2nd HALF where XAVI took it (bar chart on the right above).

If we select the “Behave as Sum” option, the result will now show the number of CORNER KICK registers where either 2nd HALF or XAVI appeared within the registers. This would include CORNER KICKS registers where they don’t appear together, so you will see a higher number of actions. What you will see in this example is:

The number of CORNER KICKS in the 2nd HALF plus the number of CORNER KICKS taken by XAVI from the whole game (bar chart on the left above).

Stacked mode

It’s really simple: with the Stacked Mode you can group the different options into one column.

Value Relative to a Group

Groups are created in the template and they are made to gather buttons with common elements (for example: all the defensive actions). Groups are useful for finding data about specific buttons with respect to those groups. This feature is available for pie charts and data labels.

Alarms for Labels

Alarms warn users when a label reaches a set number or percentage value. Three alarms can be selected with three different values and colours. When an alarm reaches a number, a flashing square appears around the label. If you select ‘Change the background colour’, the whole label will change to your alarm colour.

*Note: Alarms are only available in data labels in Scout, Pro and Elite.

Apply Calculations to Items

How can basketball shot scores (2-point or 3-point shots) be registered if they are each just one register? How can the score be shown if it depends on those buttons? How can you register negative values? By applying calculations to items in Dashboards!

Calculations in Dashboards allow you to add, substract, multiply or divide registers, so the data shown can be the result of that calculation. Let’s take a look at this video which explains how they work:

Variable Labels

Change the results of a chart or label without modifying them or creating new labels (for instance, if you need to know the same items for different players: the players’ names are the variables).

Dashboards with Registers from Multiple Analysis

All the Dashboards seen so far contain data from just one analysis. However, it’s possible to gather data from different analysis files into the same dashboard if you have an Elite licence. This is how it works!
