Every year, we strive to bring you the best video analysis content possible through our website, social media channels, YouTube channel and, of course, the very blog that you are reading now.

In fact, this year, we’ve published over 40 new articles on this blog, covering everything video analysis related. From hints, tricks and tips for improving the analysis process to interviews with industry leaders to product reviews, we’ve covered it all.

So, now it’s time to take a look back over the year that was. In this article, we’ve rounded up the top 10 most read blogs of the year. Did you miss any? Well, now’s your chance to catch up…

#10. A Guide to Nacsport Auto-Lists and Auto-Presentations

autolists and presentations

Coming in at number 10 is this informative article, published in February, about one of the most coveted tools in Nacsport’s professional range of software. Available in Pro and Elite, auto-lists and auto-presentations are nothing short of a timesaving revolution when it comes to creating video reports and sharing them with your team.

In this article, we show you how to get the most out of this fantastic tool and maximise your time as an analyst. Maybe it’s time to upgrade to Pro or Elite?

#9. The Analyst’s Bookshelf: Creating a Winning Mindset

Back at the beginning of the year, we spoke to a handful of pro-analysts and asked them to recommend some books that have helped them in their career. This blog was the result…but it might not be what you’d expect.

Rather than a list of weighty tomes about the philosophy of analysis that you might expect, these books all have one thing in common…how to get into the mindset of winning. And why else do we analyse but to help our team to victory? Check these out now.

#8. Ice Hockey Analysis: Migrating from STEVA Hockey to Nacsport

During the summer, just before the start of the ice-hockey season, we spoke to Santeri Hilli, a Finnish coach and analyst who, at the time, worked with Oulun Kärpät, one of the most successful teams in the history of Finnish ice-hockey.

In this blog, Santeri was kind enough to tell us the story of his journey into the world of hockey analysis and, in the process, compare the use of STEVA Hockey with Nacsport. An interesting read for all coaches, whether involved in hockey or not.

#7. Performance Analysis with the Spanish Basketball Team

Back in February, we got some exclusive access to current FIBA world champions the Spanish National Basketball team. In this great article, we talked about the structure of coaching within the team and, of course, their use of video analysis.

This is another great insight into the world of professional sport that all established and up-and-coming analysts should read. So, what you waiting for? Click the link above!

#6. Preseason Tasks for Analysts

preseason analysis

What are the essential tasks that analysts should be performing during the preseason? This is the question that our colleague Dani Muñoz attempted to answer at the end of July this year. And he should know, being an ex-analyst for Spanish La Liga side, Real Betis.

The preseason is a period that we don’t talk about much, so the information in this blog is new and vital.

#5. Nacsport 8.0 for Windows: A New Interface, New Processes and New Tools

nacsport 8.0

2022 was a year of evolution for Nacsport. We introduced several new innovations, designed to improve the user experience for all our users. More of these innovations will appear later in this list, but Nacsport 8.0, released at the beginning of August brought one of the biggest changes…a completely redesigned interface, designed to speed up the analysis process and, generally, make the software easier to use for everyone.

Add to that several new tools and workflows and this represented a massive leap forward for Nacsport. Read all about it here.

#4. Real-Time Analysis with Nacsport: Exploring the Options

real time analysis

Live analysis is becoming increasingly more common in the world of professional sports analysis. It gives coaches and teams the information needed to make decisions on-the-fly. And, of course, Nacsport is the perfect tool for performing an analysis in real-time.

In this popular blog, released back in March, we talk you through all the different options for performing a real-time analysis.

#3. The Evolution of Nacsport: Annual Subscriptions and Rebranding

nacsport rebranding

As mentioned in entry #5, there were some huge changes afoot at Nacsport this year and, in May, this blog detailed the first of these changes. First, a rebranding of several Nacsport products to make the product structure easier to understand, and secondly, the introduction of an annual subscription model for all of our products.

This second innovation meant that the start-up costs of creating a video analysis structure was greatly reduced, allowing more and more users to feel the benefits of video analysis. Read all about it in this blog.

#2. How to Analyse a Football Match

Here’s another blog from May that proved to be extremely popular this year, How to Analyse a Football Match. This article is full of essential information which goes through the various phases of the analysis process.

Designed for beginners and experts alike, there’s something for everyone in this informative article. Pair this with our free ebook A Beginners Guide to Football Analysis with Nacsport, which you can download in the link below, and there’s nothing holding you back.

#1. Nacsport for Mac

And so we come to the most read Nacsport blog of the year and, to be honest, we’re not really surprised at what it is.

After the product rebranding, introduction of annual subscriptions and the release of the new interface for Windows, there’s only one place we could possibly go with our year of evolution. So many people had been waiting for Nacsport to be released natively on Apple computers and, in the middle of August this year, they finally got their wishes.

This initial release included Mac versions of Nacsport Basic, Basic+ and Scout, but not only that, we informed you that one Nacsport license could be used cross-platform between both Windows and Mac, a fact that was gratefully received by our community, especially those working in teams with different operating systems within their structure.

And there’s more to come…in the not too distant future, Nacsport Pro and Elite will arrive on Mac too, meaning that the whole family is reunited on the Apple platform. What more could you want?

Looking Forward to 2023

Anyway, that’s our list of the most read blogs of 2022, but that’s not all the content that we’ve released this year. There are many more articles that don’t appear on this list but which, nonetheless, are a fantastic resource for our analysis community. Please, browse the blog here to see all of this fantastic content.

Finally, we’d like to say a big thank you to you, the reader. Without you we’re just shouting into the ether. Thanks for being part of this community and for contributing your time to our efforts.

We look forward to seeing you back here in 2023 when we’ll have some more great content waiting for you.

As always…thanks for reading!
