Well, we’re rapidly approaching the end of the year and, as we do every December, we’d like to cast our eyes back over the last 12 months and take stock of everything that has happened.

For us, 2022 was the year of evolution. Big changes internally and externally have laid the foundations for a future that seems more promising than ever.

So, let’s hop in the time machine and see what’s happened in the world of Nacsport over the last 12 months so you can see why we’re so optimistic for 2023…

The Biggest News of 2022: Nacsport for macOS

The 10th of August, 2022 was a historic day for our company as Nacsport was finally launched natively on Apple computers. This was the result of a long period of development which fulfilled the wishes of many of our patient users.

But there’s more. Our development team haven’t been resting on their laurels since the launch. No, they’ve been hard at work to produce more and better features for the Mac version of the software.

The best is yet to come in 2023!

Nacsport 8.0: A Completely Redesigned User Interface

Coinciding with the launch of Nacsport for macOS, the 10th of August also saw the release of Nacsport 8.0, which brought with it a complete redesign of the software with a beautiful new UI. But this wasn’t just an aesthetic change. No, it was much more, aiming to make the user experience simpler and more effective for you.

Check out the video below for a brief summary of the new tools and features found in Nacsport 8.0 and you’ll see why this lays the foundations for the Nacsport of the future.

More Choice and Lower Costs for Everyone with Annual Subscriptions

Staying true to our ideals of making video analysis available to as many people as possible, at the beginning of 2022, we launched a new initiative designed to lower the video analysis startup costs for everyone…an annual software subscription service.

Basically speaking, an annual subscription allows you to purchase a twelve-month license without the higher costs associated with buying a lifetime license.

But of course, lifetime licenses are still available for all our products, with the exception of Nacsport Basic, which became subscription-only. There are benefits to both payment systems and we simply wanted to give you, the users, more choice and more control over your video analysis and put this amazing resource within reach of everyone, amateurs and professionals alike.

A Rebranding of Scout+ and Pro+

nacsport rebranding

Taking advantage of the release of annual subscriptions, we took the opportunity of rebranding two of our most popular products. In a bid to simplify our product range, Scout+ and Pro+ said goodbye to their superfluous mathematical symbols and were renamed simply Scout and Pro.

In the case of Pro, this renaming was purely aesthetic. The renaming of Scout, however, brought some big changes. Two products in our range, Scout+ and Scout+ Unlimited were merged into a single product, removing the previous Scout+ limitation of being able to only work with five videos at a time.

All Scout users now have the ability to work with an unlimited number of videos at the same time.

A Complete Redesign of Our Website

It’s not just the software that’s had an overhaul, we’ve also been working hard to bring our website up to a higher standard. This was a task that we began in 2021, worked on throughout the last twelve months, and will continue to tweak into 2023.

Why? Because we want to provide an online space that adds real value for you, the users. We want to provide a space which is not completely centred on the commercial, but instead provides support and resources to help you get the most out of your video analysis work. Free analysis templates, free ebooks, blog posts, video tutorials and easier routes to contact us are all things we’ve added in the last 12 months.

In addition, we’ve incorporated four new languages into the website. You can now visit a reduced version of the website in Portuguese, German, French and Dutch. Again, the aim here is to make communication with analysts the world over much easier and more natural.

A Continuously Growing Team

Our team has grown gradually throughout the year, with eight new colleagues joining us in all departments, from development to sales to support to communication.

And just a few weeks ago, we grew even more with the addition of four eager new recruits. We’re happy to say, they’ve all settled nicely into their positions and are helping us look to the future with ever-growing confidence.

And we’re not stopping there…at the time of writing, we’re still recruiting! We’re currently looking for two more people to expand our team at Nacsport America. These will be the first to join the team in early 2023.

Looking Forward to 2023

Well, it’s still a little too soon to fully reveal our plans for 2023, but we assure you, we’ve got some big news coming your way in the next few months.

But we can tell you that we’ll continue our growth exponentially in 2023, providing the global video analysis community with the best solutions and making their work and workflows easier than ever.

Before we sign off, we’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for being there and for believing in what we do. Everything we do is done with you in mind. You are the reason we work so hard to bring the best video analysis products to the market and, without your support, we simply wouldn’t have enjoyed this fantastic year of evolution.

Finally, on behalf of everyone at Nacsport we’d like to say a huge thank you and wish you all the very best for 2023.

THANK YOU!
